I have a deep passion for Background painting, Visual development, Animation, and Illustration.
I just love to create and make. My goal is to make something worthwhile and get people to feel something.

Experience
Did some Guest lecturing at Ballyfermot college of further education with 1st-year students. I did a talk about layout, the importance of background work in animation, and how they help tell stories. I talked through the basics of perspective and the importance of setting a style guide for your characters and backgrounds to match and feel like they are in the same world. I talked through the degree film I worked on as an example of matching styles of character and background. I gave a brief the students had to follow and then in a second class I gave feedback to all 50-plus students.
Worked as a Freelance animator doing Motion Graphic Animation with Examfly using the software Powtoon to make educational videos. Worked with the company for 4 months, sticking to a set style and animation guide, meeting deadlines, and tracking my time. I had worked a retail job at the same time so had to balance two full-time jobs during this time period, but still met all my deadlines and goals.
Worked on my Degree Film, 'Mopped in their Tracks', for my last year in college. I was primarily Animating a range of characters but did do some Background painting work on layouts for the film which were done by a teammate.
I was my Classes Student Rep for 2 years in college. My job was to communicate with lecturers and the student council about issues and questions brought up by my classmates. I really enjoyed being helpful to my peers and interacting with so many people within the college.

Animation Visual Media BA Hons Degree (NFQ Level 8), awarded by the University of Dundee, Scotland. Passed with Upper Second Class Honors. Graduated in 2022 after working on my student film.

Classical and Computer Animation (NFQ Level 6) passed with Distinction Award.

Animation Drawing Studies (QQI Level 5) passed with Distinction Award.
I have received my Leaving Cert and Juinor Cert, passing both with full honors.
